Our Olympic Experience
Columbia Networks is proud to have played a supporting role in the broadcast of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games to billions of spectators world wide.
The 2010 Winter Olympic Games were the most-watched Games of all time according to the International Olympic Committee. The broadcast was comprised of 24,000 broadcasting hours to an estimated 3.5 billion viewers worldwide. Every image seen on television, every real-time score, and the timely reporting of the stories relied on broadband networks and mobile data centres that made up the Private Olympic Cloud in Vancouver, British Columbia. This was the first time that all of the Video and Data that made up the multimedia experience at an Olympic Games venue was broadcast via the Internet.
We are excited to bring this new level of experience to our clients by way of our broadband networking, private cloud computing, and our professional services.
